Adding Insult to Injury

Andy has a little scratch on his nose that he won't leave alone. I wanted to cover it up, but unfortunately, these were the only bandaids I had in the cupboard. Would someone please get the boy some spiderman bandaids?

First Day of Pre-School

Adrie LOVED her first day of pre-school! She gave me a kiss goodbye, and never looked back.

So I went to the mall and bought myself a new outfit! :)

Adrie's First Garage Sale

She paid 10 cents for it . . . quite a steal!

Adrie: "Mom . . . you know my friend Jacob?"
Me: "No . . . I don't remember him."
Adrie: "I mean my friend Jacob . . . from South Ork."
Me: "Oh."
Adrie: "Yep, and I think I'll move to South Ork too."

We had a great time on our final vacation of the summer. We went to Yakima for the opening of Dove hunting season, but mostly we sat around the pool in the sun.

Adrie (walking down the hallway of our hotel): "Mommy, do you know what I'm good at?"

Mommy: "What are you good at?"

Adrie: "Sticking my finger in my nose and getting all the boogers out."

My Chocolate Cosmo

This is the chocolate cosmo that I've been waiting for all summer.

Andrew now has 4 teeth! His two top front teeth have peeked through his gums over the past week or so.

Adrie: "Mommy, I know how to say 'bean' in Spanish."
Me: "Really?"
Adrie: "Yeah, its 'beanie weanie'."

New Hair

Thanks to Great-Grandma Maryott . . . a fresh new haircut!

It was bound to happen . . .

Yes, it is what you think it is. I had just hung up my phone, when I turned around to see large chunks of hair on the floor around Adrie's feet. She had lopped off the bottom of her ponytail. I brushed out her hair to see if it was from the top or underneath, unfortunately its right from the top. Adrie may have a new haircut the next time you see her.

Marshall Rides the Courage Classic

This past weekend, Marshall rode in his first Courage Classic bike ride. The riders raised over $600,000 for Mary Bridge Children's Clinic. They rode 180 miles, including three mountain passes, in three days. And he even ended up on "Evening Magazine."
