Bouncy-Ball

Adrie really meant it when she told me that she was going to take her new sparkly bouncy-ball to bed with her tonight. I checked on her two hours later, to find it still in her hand, as she was sound asleep.

Adrianna Turns 4!

Sneaky Climber

We had all come inside to have Adrie's Birthday cake, when our good friend Olivia, age 9, shouts from the driveway: "Andrew's up on the ladder!"

Here's what we found:

One Perspective

Adrie: "I was sitting on the couch smiling nicely; it was Andrew that was climbing ALL over the couch."

Word of Advice

I'm not quite sure what she was telling the horse, but I'm sure it was advice of some kind.

Loves Him a Good Mower

No matter where we are - if there's a lawn mower in sight, Andy MUST climb up and drive. He has no power to resist.

Coming Home from Hansville

Yesterday we went out to Hansville to visit Aunty Julie. The kids had a great time at the beach, playing in the sand and water. When the afternoon was through, I had a nice, peaceful drive home.

Tumbler

Last night, just as I had dozed off to sleep, my eyes popped open again, with the vague thought that I had just heard something thud. So, of course I had to get up and investigate. When I looked into Adrie's room, sure enough, she had fallen out of her bed. No crying, no confusion . . . nothing but the sound of snoring. I think her water baby had cushioned the landing of her head, along with some other miscellaneous stuff on her floor. I scooped her up, rolled her onto the far side of her bed, and headed back to bed myself. I think that's the first time she's fallen out of her big-girl bed.

On a daily basis we are faced with two simple choices. We can listen to ourselves and our constantly changing feelings about our circumstances or……

We can talk to ourselves about the unchanging truth of who God is and what He’s accomplished on the Cross for us in His Son, Jesus.

Thirsty Boy

I cleaned out underneath our kitchen sink today, because there's a leak in the drainpipe. I scrubbed all the the wet stuff off the floor of the cabinet, and set a glass in the cupboard to catch the drip. I set a fan in front of the cabinet to help the drying. When I came back into the kitchen a couple minutes later, I found Andrew with the glass tipped up, drinking the last drop of the drip water. Tasty.

First Strawberries

The first two strawberries off of our plants! We transplanted these from our good friends' patch in Sequim a couple years ago. Thanks Korey & Mikie!
