How We Know Papa's a Boy
Adrie's thoughts this morning: "Papa, we know you're a boy because you have a mustache, and a big nose, and a big back."
Play Time
Adrie just came out of her bedroom and asked me to help her put on her gardening gloves. When she went back into her bedroom, I heard, (in a sing-song voice) "Andrew . . . time for your surgery."

Pansy

I'll Take It
Andrew was banging his cereal bowl on the counter this morning, trying to tell me that he wanted more. I asked him, "what do you say?" He looked at me for a few seconds, and said " 'leeeease Papa."

Reminiscing
When Adrie was somewhere between 1 1/2 and 2, we were living next door while we remodeled our house. Marshall was sitting in the living room one afternoon, in just his boxer briefs, when Adrie came up to him to say hello. She had been standing there talking with him for a few minutes, when she looked at his underwear, reached forward, saying, "What's in your pocket, Papa?" I've never seen Marshall jump up so quickly.
