New Words

Adrie: "Mom, what size are these pants and shirt?" (her new pajamas)
Me: looking at the tag, "size 3."
Adrie: "Because these feel a little bit gribbley on me."

Definition of "gribbley" anyone?

Hey!

Adrie was licking her lollipop from the bank today, when Archie walked by and flipped his tail at her. I guess fur and lollipops don't exactly mix. I heard a "Haaaaay!" from Adrie, and looked over to see her lollipop stuck right in his fluffy tail fur. I grabbed it out as he walked by, and here was the result:

Big Tree Cut Down

We had the tree in the center of the picture cut down today, among others.

It was cool to watch, but we stayed far back.

Good Morning Sunshine

This morning I was standing in front of our kitchen window, doing the dishes of course. I said out loud, "Good morning sunshine!" I heard Adrie behind me say, "Um . . . sunshine . . . you kind of bug my eyes a little . . . "

Ice Cream for Adrie

My cousin Jodi went to Costco today with her daughters PJ and Christine, and Adrie. While they were in line for ice cream, Adrie asked what kind they were going to get. (hoping for strawberry, which is her favorite) Jodi told her that is would be chocolate and vanilla swirl. Adrie thought for a few seconds, then replied, "I don't think my Mom wants me to have squirrel ice cream."

Ephesians 3:12-19

Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.
. . . When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
